Dell Expands Support for the Youth development in the Philippines

Last July 25, 2013, I was invited to attend an advance screening of the movie Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman. Actually, it was a sponsored screening by DELL Philippines not only to treat media but most importantly, the beneficiary children of CHILDHOPE Philippines.

The media screening was only the launch of a much bigger treat to the foundation by extending Dell’s support in the furtherance of ChildHope Philippines’ advocacy developing the living condition of street children in Metro Manila.

Inside the movie house, guests were advice to allow 120 selected street children to seat beside them so they can guide children on certain delicate matters about the movie. It was an impressive gesture because it is what Parental Guidance is all about. Before the movie started, everyone was given a snack pack courtesy of Jollibee, so everyone can watch the movie while enjoying food from Jollibee.

A short program was placed before the actual screening. Mr. Richard Teo, president of Dell Philippines welcomes everyone and gave a brief talk about their partnership with Childhope and Dell’s commitment in helping alleviate poverty in our society. Likewise, Ms. Teresita L. Silva, President and Executive Director of ChildHope Philippines acknowledged the support of Dell, and gave a warm thanks to everyone who supported Dell’s campaign.
